Grievance Procedure
Greenwood Baptist Children's Learning Center strives to provide the highest quality of service to our students and their families. However, there may be occasions when parents have concerns about particular events, situations, or members of our staff. As stated in Mathew 18:15-17, we encourage our parents to first talk with their child's teacher for a possible resolution before involving the Director or Board. Many times, good, open communication between the teacher and the parents will diminish any concerns or escalation of issues.
Should the needs or satisfaction of the parents still not be met, the Director should be contacted as the next step in the process. The Director will schedule a time to meet with the parents to discuss the situation and acquire all pertinent information in order to bring forth a reasonable conclusion. This may also entail having a group discussion with the teacher, parents, and the Director to ensure adequate resolution is met for everyone.
If there is still no resolve, we ask that the Board be contacted to have the opportunity to fully investigate the situations or events in question. The Board is fully committed to being a resource for the parents and families of our students and every issue that is brought to them is dealt with in a reasonable time period. Please know that the Board believes fully in Mathew 18:15-17 and will insist this to have been completed prior to acting so that the teachers and Director have every opportunity to satisfy the issue early on and strengthen the parent/teacher relationship.

Safety Drills
We pride ourselves on achieving very orchestrated and efficient safety drills on a routine basis. Our fire drills are done monthly, with our weather and other emergency drills being done quarterly. Should a relocation of our students be warranted in the event of an emergency, we have partnered with several other churches and businesses in the Greenwood area that are listed in the Parent Handbook where the students can safely be placed until picked up by their parents.
Our Emergency Preparedness Plans consist of weather-related drills, as well as lock-down/sheltering protocols being in place. Due to the nature of our lock-down plans, those are confidential, and any concerns should be discussed with the Director.
Child Abuse Reporting
As per the guidelines of the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services, all childcare facilities, including ours, are required to look for and report to the State any signs of child abuse and neglect. This is outlined further in the Parent Handbook that is provided to each student's family upon registering.
If you suspect child abuse or neglect, you are encouraged to assist that child immediately by calling the Child Abuse Hotline at 1-800-252-5400 or www.txabusehotline.org.
