Our Approach to Early Education

Our curriculum is a Christian-based educational program using proven Abeka Christian Curriculum to educate the student entirely around the Word while teaching fundamentals of phonics and numbers. In addition, this program incorporates a blend of teacher directed and student-initiated experiences. This is achieved by utilizing learning centers, age appropriate academics, group activities, creative movement, story time, and dramatic play. Each classroom uses well-planned learning centers and hands-on activities to stimulate learning and foster physical, cognitive, social-emotional growth and development, and incorporating the family and community as an integral learning component. Those activities consist of creative arts, reading, science and discovery, home living, blocks, and manipulative resources. It is our priority to offer your child multiple teaching approaches which provide a developmentally appropriate learning environment while challenging him/her academically. Every activity in the classroom should have a purpose, be interesting, and be engaging to the students. The environment is designed to stimulate imagination and creativity, socialization, and exploration and discovery, while challenging the use of large and small motor skills. It is our desire and goal to exceed your expectations for your child's early education.

Each week, the students experience chapel times where they hear the Message from Greenwood Baptist Church's Children's Director in a relatable story format. They will also immerse themselves in projects that correlate with the Bible lessons.

Classrooms that Stimulate Learning and the Imagination

Our classrooms are designed so that the students are stimulated through their environment. This environment is the pivotal function that fosters thought and creativity from the young minds soaking up the knowledge and experiences. We developed each room to compliment the age group being taught and using age-appropriate centers to maximize these learning opportunities. In them are multiple learning centers where the students get to experience activities that affect every motor function promoting healthy growth.
