Our Mission

Greenwood Baptist Children’s Learning Center mission is to offer a loving, supportive, nurturing environment for our student's to grow spiritually and physically by providing quality Christian-based childcare taught from a place of faith and love of God.

Our Goals

Greenwood Baptist Children’s Learning Center is an outreach ministry of Greenwood Baptist Church. Our purpose is to be used as an additional means of reaching un-churched families and extend to them, as well as our own members, a facility for their children to be cared for in a loving, Christian atmosphere. We teach Christian principles everyday as an integral part of the children’s lives. Our goal is to provide each student the opportunity to connect with children their own age, involve them in situations which require sharing, taking turns, and recognizing that others have rights and privileges. We provide guided supervision and educational preparation for their future in a Christian atmosphere.

Statement of Philosophy

Greenwood Baptist Children’s Learning Center welcomes families of our community and the surrounding area regardless of race or economic background. Our program and services that we provide are inclusive for all children. The Center arose from a desire to provide quality Christian care for the children of our community, as well as meeting the needs of its families.

Statement of Faith

We believe…

• that the Bible is the inspired Word of God

• that man was created by God in His image

• in the Trinity: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit

• that Jesus Christ was the incarnate Son of God, born of a virgin

• that He shed His blood and died on the cross as the Atonement for the sins of mankind

• that He rose again on the third day and ascended into heaven

• that He sits on the right hand of the Father as our Advocate

• that salvation is through faith by grace, not by works

• that Jesus Christ must be the Lord of our life

• in the Second Coming of Christ to take all believers home to Heaven

It is our firm belief that the Bible is God’s Word and provides the wisdom and instruction needed for our daily lives. The following verses are instrumental in the ongoing operation of The Center’s Vision and Mission:

Vision Statement

As children grow and change, so must the programs we administer to respond to those needs’ content and structure. Every child deserves a nurturing, safe, and happy environment to help promote their natural curiosity and desire to learn. They also deserve to have teachers who are capable, caring, and whose values enable them to be excellent role models. The vision of The Center is to work with families to enhance the development of young children and to develop the best practices for teaching and ministering to young children and families. This vision will continue to guide our program’s growth and development that includes, but is not limited to, the following items that The Center seeks to make available.
